RailsConf - 2 Down, 2 to Go
Rails Conf started in on Thursday morning with a 9 to 5 session called “Guidebook”, giving a tourists’ guide to ruby, rails, and the conference.
Dave Thomas and Mike Clark hosted this all day introductory session. They proved that they are more than just geeks and authors. They are teachers. They know the topic. Even more importantly, they know how to communicate the topic.

I have updated my quicktime plugin, walk_qt, to version 0.6. I fixed the file number issue that was plaguing it. You should now be able to completely manage your movies with the “files” tab and then specify the file number in the custom field called “video” that you’ve created when installing the plugin.
The javascript embeds should validate now, thanks to Daniel Nadeau. Everything else should...

Because of my involvement in Textpattern’s forums and writing at least one plugin for Textpattern, we have seen visitors from these textpattern related site account for a little over 28% of all visitors to visicswire.
Sidework
I have updated my siteframe php Class again. It now cleanly handles more warning and errors. I also added in the ability to assign classes to the body tag easily.

RPC for Textpattern
It’s quite awesome. Kusor just released the support files for XML-RPC from textpattern.
What this means is that you can now use programs like Mars Edit, Ecto, and Zoundry to edit and manage posts from your computer. Then, when you’re ready, you can click to publish them to your site.
