I’ve updated it to account for the ActiveX problem that people are going to start seeing in IE no thanks to Eolas. They sued Microsoft on a patent matter and won. Because of that, Microsoft is being forced to release a patch to IE that causes multimedia embedded within a page to act strangely.

This new version circumvents that problem using javascript to embed the movies. Make you walk_qt tag look like this after you’ve updated to version .4:

A hint: add 16 pixels to the height of your movie to get the height you should put in that field. This way the controller displays properly. If you have set controller=false then you can just ignore this.

Read more here on the case if you’re that interested and here for the technical details.

» It appears there’s a problem with Safari not rendering the movie until the spot it’s supposed to be in is clicked. That’s no good! I’m looking into it.

» Fixed. I published a 0.4.1 update to the plugin. I changed the way it was writing the embed using javascript. I’m not incredibly happy with the way it does it, but it works impeccably across all browsers now.

I also didn’t want to get into the world where users of this plugin had to embed multiple tags for a single plugin within their pages. I just want everyone to need to use one plugin. I think that needing to put multiple tags in a page is a little bit much to ask for.

The link for downloading the plugin is still the same as above.
